Description

Give your students the chance to test their observation skills with this Tire Impression Evidence activity. Students are presented with five suspect tires and eight tire impressions. Students determine which tire left each impression.

But don’t be fooled! Some suspects were at more than one crime scene. And some impressions may not match any of your suspect tires!

Drag and drop interactive Google Slides – Digital activity, when you don’t have time to get your own tires, paint the treads, and roll them across bulletin board paper!

Full instructions are included on the Google Slides for students – truly NO PREP! Nothing for you to do but share the Slides with your students.

Key included!

Five Stars!

Here are what a happy teacher says about the Tire Tread Activity:

I used this as part of a major grade on our impressions unit. The students enjoyed trying to “solve the crime,” and match up the tire impressions.        – Lauren G.             February 15, 2024
My students loved this activity. They liked trying to figure out who did it and it got some of my students engaged who typically are not.       -Caitln A.             December 6, 2023
This worked well, and it was easy for my students to follow.                – Derek L.           March 25, 2021
