Journals are Digital!

Your students will drag and drop colored squares to indicate how they are feeling for each day. Check out the Preview to see how it works!

Journals are digital so they can not get lost or left at home! This is a great tool for collecting data for IEP or 504 goals as well.

Coping Strategies and Goal Setting

Students are encouraged to choose provided coping strategies to help lift their spirits when they are down. Strategies include:

  • Go for a walk
  • Call a friend
  • Listen to music
  • Talk it out
  • Ask for Help
  • Write about it
  • Take deep breaths
  • Do ten pushups
  • Think happy thoughts

And a place for students to come up with their own strategy!

Each week, students set goals, and are prompted to review their goals on Thursday and again at the end of the week. Journal entries ask them to reflect on the challenges they faced during the week, and what they can do next week to overcome the challenges.

Students will practice finding things they are thankful for. One slide invites them to add photographs of things that make them smile! These can be their own photographs, or ones they find on the internet.

Resource includes slides that cover four weeks, one full month. If you want your students to continue for longer, simply share the Journal with them again for a new month!

Detailed Teacher Guide describes the best way to use and share the Journal, with time saving tips! The Journal pages are created with Google Slides, making it easy to share, and easy to use for your students.
