Playing the Parts of the Heart Review Game
Students move across the game board using a Red Blood Cell! They start in the Body, and travel through all twelve heart parts (four chambers, four valves, two arteries and two veins) plus the lungs, and back to the body again. First Red Blood Cell back to the body wins!
Students play in pairs or groups of three. As they go, they are tasked to label the parts they move through. If they land on a circle, students answer one of twenty-three open ended Question Cards all about the circulatory system.
Answers are built into the game so students will get instant feed back and know if their answers are correct.
Questions are easily editable!
Simple instructions and easy game play – your students will be ready to play in minutes. The only other material needed to play the game is a penny – or students can use their cell phone to access an online penny flip!
No Prep Digital Options
The digital game board uses Google Slides. Students drag and drop their game pieces and draw question cards right in the slides. The digital game board includes student instructions and a link to a digital penny – truly no prep.
Two additional review activities:
- A heart diagram for students to label and draw the path of blood
- A diagram that invites students to name the heart parts in order of blood flowing through the heart.
Use these for notes, as a review activity, or an assessment!
