Description
This Biomolecules Review activity is designed to give students a chance to identify examples of Carbohydrates, Lipids, Proteins and Nucleic Acids, as they hear and say key vocabulary again and again! Even better, my students love this activity!
Each student will have a card with their unique Biomolecule identity and a description of their function in the cell. As students rotate around the room. they will read their card to each other, and guess the identity of the Biomolecule.
Fourteen different specific biomolecules are represented on the cards. Resource is fully editable to add or remove to make it fit your class! Check out the Preview to see the ‘Guest List’ of biomolecules.
An additional way to use this resource:
Biomolecule example cards can be cut out and sorted into the four Biomoleule groups as students identify each example of Carbohydrates, Lipids, Proteins and Nucleic Acids.

We had so much fun! I did it with my students over a video call and used breakout rooms for them to pair up and do the activity… then we rotated every minute or so. Loved it! – Adriana T. August 14, 2020
I liked that students had to think and apply information learned. – Emma C. August 10, 2020
A great resource! Very fun way to review biomolecules. – Shannon H. October 3, 2021
